This position is for a flexible, per diem Registered Nurse (RN) working in various departments including Medical-Surgical, ICU, Stepdown, and Emergency at Mercy Rogers and surrounding community hospitals. The role offers shift flexibility with no weekend or holiday requirements, providing incentives and requiring at least one shift worked every 90 days. Candidates must hold a current RN license, have recent bedside nursing experience, and maintain required certifications such as BLS and ACLS depending on the department.

Overview:

 

Are you seeking a flexible incentivized Registered Nurse position? Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift- whatever works best for you! No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement. Participation in the Gig Nursing Program requires being responsible for scheduling a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, being flexible and subject to last minute shift cancellation. The Gig Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours and will be the first for cancellation.

 

Locations available include:

  • Rogers
  • Community Hospitals: Berryville

Departments Utilizing GIG RNs:

  • Medical-Surgical
  • Stepdown
  • ICU
  • Emergency Department

 

Qualifications:

  • Required Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
  • Preferred Education:
    • BSN
  • Licensure:
    • Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Experience:
    • One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg.
    • For all other specialties (ICU and Women's Health), a minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience.
  • Certifications:
  • For Med Surg and Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B) - BLS

  • For Critical Care (CC) - BLS, ACLS

  • For Emergency Department - BLS, ACLS, & PALS
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Epic experience
  • Physical requirements/demands:
    • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
    • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
    • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
