Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective actions
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions
Perform basic welding activities for repairs
Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Perform and assign all preventive maintenance on facility and production assets
Oversee and implement maintenance regulatory and environmental compliance
Train and develop maintenance partners
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment including wiring, electrical, mechanical, electronic components, pipe systems, and plumbing
Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel preferred
Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, vendor management, maintenance management systems
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience in Hand & Power tools
Lockout / Tagout experience
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment
Applicable military experience will be considered
