Key Responsibilities
Set up patients in the exam room
Perform and document vital signs, EKGs, and medication reconciliation
Interview patients about health changes since last visit
Assist provider with minor surgical procedures
Prepare medications for injections
Handle phone messages, faxes, and medical reception responsibilities as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current MA certification
Knowledge of medical insurance terminology
Computer skills for scheduling
Familiarity with general office procedures and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years of prior experience in ambulatory care
Ability to handle high volume of interactions with frequent interruptions
