CDI are responsible for improving overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation by inpatient providers. CDI facilitates modifications to documentation through extensive interaction with physicians and clinical staff to ensure appropriateness of documentation. CDI ensures accuracy and completeness of clinical information used for measuring and reporting physician and medical center outcomes. CDI staff also coordinate with coding team to ensure most accurate representation of the patient's illness and treatment. Educates all members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis regarding clinical documentation. Active Iowa RN license or compact license required. Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm CST. We expect a full-time commitment of 8 active hours per weekday. We use time-tracking tools and team check-ins to keep everyone aligned to ensure productivity and accountability.
