As a Site Safety Manager at SAIIA Construction, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety standards across multiple project sites. This position involves developing safety plans, assessing work conditions, and managing safety personnel, all while traveling extensively to various locations. Key Responsibilities
Preview projects and project sites to determine safety and environmental related risks
Develop project site specific safety plans and training
Assess ongoing work conditions for compliance with safety plans and regulations
Document unsafe work conditions and safety hazards
Determine corrective or preventative measures and follow up on implementation
Manage contractors’ safety programs and training
Required Qualifications
5-7 years construction safety managerial experience or equivalent combination of training and related experience
Knowledge of and experience with OSHA, MSHA and EPA rules, regulations and reporting processes for construction and mine safety
Ability to professionally represent the company with external organizations and regulatory bodies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and/or training in Excavation, Trenching, and Soil Mechanics
CSP, GSP, CHST, or STSC Preferred
