Job Description

Join TravelNurseSource as a Travel Nurse RN in Chicago, providing compassionate care to postpartum patients and their newborns. You'll monitor recovery, support parents, and collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess postpartum recovery (vital signs, bleeding, fundus, incision sites, etc.)
  • Provide newborn care: vital signs, feeding support, hygiene, and safety
  • Educate and support parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
  • Administer medications and manage pain control for postpartum patients
  • Recognize and respond to potential complications in mothers and newborns
  • Document nursing care accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals
  • Assist with discharge planning

Required Qualifications

  • BLS
  • Competency Exam
  • Post Partum experience
