Job Description

Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator and play a vital role in enhancing healthcare experiences. You will manage patient interactions, assist with scheduling, and ensure smooth check-in processes, all while contributing to a mission-driven organization focused on health equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and schedule appointments
  • Assist callers with questions or concerns
  • Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time
  • Complete check-in and check-out tasks including insurance verification
  • Collect co-payments and issue receipts
  • Process walk-in patients and visitors
  • Manage medical records
  • Establish effective working relationships with patients and staff
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working in a healthcare or medical office setting
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
