Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Honesdale, PA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Schedule: Every Other Weekend and Holiday | No Block Scheduling

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide care and support for women during labor, delivery, and recovery.
  • Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, and maternal vital signs.
  • Administer medications and assist with epidurals and inductions as ordered.
  • Support physicians and midwives during deliveries and surgical procedures.
  • Educate and assist mothers in postpartum care and newborn care practices.
  • Care for newborns immediately after birth, including APGAR scoring and routine checks.
  • Respond promptly to complications and coordinate emergency interventions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with hospital policies.
Requirements:
  • Active Pennsylvania RN License (Required)
  • BLS and NRP Certifications (Required)
  • ACLS and Fetal Monitoring Certification (Preferred)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent L&D or Mother-Baby experience
  • Strong interpersonal and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment
