Job Summary: Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in high-acuity care, with experience in neuro, vascular, thoracic, and neurosurgical patient populations. Key Responsibilities: Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU. Monitor and manage life-sustaining equipment such as ventilators, IV drips, and telemetry. Respond to rapid changes in patient condition with critical thinking and decisive action. Collaborate closely with intensivists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes. Follow all hospital protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety procedures. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of current ICU experience – REQUIRED Experience with neuro, vascular, thoracic, and neurosurgical ICU patients – REQUIRED Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care setting Strong communication, time management, and critical thinking skills Willingness to float to other units as needed (per facility policy) Certifications Required: BLS (AHA) – Required ACLS (AHA) – Required
