As a Radiology Technologist II at Alameda Health System, you will perform various diagnostic imaging examinations and assist physicians in treatment procedures. This role requires independent judgment and contributes significantly to patient care in the Department of Radiology/Imaging Services.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment
Conduct general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties
Produce radiographs, position and transfer patients
Select proper technical factors for imaging
Operate imaging equipment as directed
Develop film and utilize the PACS System
Ensure radiation safety standards are met
Assist physicians with opaque media administration
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in the department
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
One year of continuous recent experience as a radiologic technologist
Recent experience in an acute care setting in a full service hospital
BLS - Basic Life Support Certification issued by AHA
Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the State of California Department of Health Services
Valid mammography certification (if mammographic examinations are performed)
Valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification
Valid certificate as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California Department of Public Health
