Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Kinston, North Carolina 28501
• Unit: 3 West PCU/Telemetry – 42-bed Medicine Acute Care Unit
• Start Date: November 10, 2025
• End Date: February 9, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
• Orientation: 16-24 hours (please confirm with recruiter for exact duration)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS and NIH Stroke Certification (required)
• EPIC electronic charting experience
• Preferred: ACLS and CPI certifications, previous charge nurse experience
• Experience managing a 6:1 patient ratio in a hospital setting

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including ESRD, autoimmune disorders, pneumonia, CHF, GI bleed, diabetes, and cardiac conditions
• Facilitate patient admissions, treatments, and safe transfers
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient status
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered
• Perform wound care, including dressing changes and wound vac management
• Care for post-catheterization and peritoneal dialysis patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more)
• Utilize rapid response and code teams as necessary
• Document all patient care accurately in EPIC EMR
