As an RN in the Inpatient Boarding Unit at Cleveland Clinic, you provide direct nursing care to patients awaiting admission from the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, coordinating discharge needs, and educating patients and families. The role involves night shifts and requires a nursing license, acute care experience, and certification in Basic Life Support.

The Inpatient Boarding Unit offers a space to stay while waiting for an appropriate bed after leaving the Emergency Department. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.
A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM, with every other weekend requirements.
