Job Description

Join Kaiser as a Psychologist on the Child Team, where you'll provide essential mental health services to children and their families. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment programs, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for your patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with mental illness
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups
  • Conduct psychological assessments and prepare treatment plans and case summaries
  • Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications
  • Supervise psychology doctoral interns and other mental health trainees
  • Utilize community resources to meet members' treatment needs

Required Qualifications

  • PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions
  • Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy
  • Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical responsibility in crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy
  • Demonstrated experience in psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner
