Radiation Therapy
Overview:
Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist, the Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation therapy planning team, familiar with the physical and geometric characteristics of the radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly employed, with the training and expertise necessary to measure and generate radiation dose distributions and calculation.
**This position will be on site**
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of approved school of Radiation Therapy.
Experience: Five to seven years experience in dosimetry experience preferred. New graduates of an accredited medical dosimetry school are encouraged to apply and will be considered for the position.
Certifications: Certified in medical dosimetry by the MDCB or registry eligible. Must pass the board within 12 months of hire date.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience with Eclipse treatment planning system including IMRT, IGRT, Rapid Arc, SBRT, respiratory gating, conformal 3-D, external beam, and brachytherapy.
