Job Description

Join Raytheon's Product Design and Packaging Team as a Senior ECAD Board Layout Engineer. You'll be responsible for PCB designs from conception to manufacturing, collaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure design excellence in a secure and impactful environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) from conception to manufacturing
  • Creating PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and Schematic drawings
  • Schematic Capture, Component Placement, Routing of Traces, Gerber/ODB++ file creation
  • Designing layouts including Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex assemblies
  • Daily interface with various engineering disciplines to ensure design requirements are met

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience
  • Experience with PCB manufacturing or CCA manufacturing principles
  • Experience with electrical design process including RF layout
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Analog, Digital including DDR, RF, Power, and mixed technology
  • Technical PCB design skills using Siemens design toolset
  • Export manufacturing data in Gerber and ODB++ formats
  • Use of Valor NPI and Design for Manufacturing rule sets
  • Familiarity with IPC 6012 & IPC 6013
  • Understanding of military and commercial design standards
  • Knowledge of RF circuitry and layout considerations
  • Working knowledge of operating system concepts related to Microsoft Windows
  • Willingness to work extended hours
  • Active Secret DoD security clearance
