Key Requirements - Experience: Minimum 2 years CVOR experience required
- Scrub Experience: Required
- Certifications Required: BLS
- Preferred: ACLS, Level I Trauma experience
- Travelers: Welcome (no prior travel experience required)
Schedule & Call - Shift: 4x10s, Monday–Friday, 6:15 AM – 4:45 PM
- Call Requirement:
- Call 2 days per week + every 3rd weekend
- May be scheduled 5 days during call weeks
- ~14 call days per 6-week schedule
Float Requirement - May float to main OR on same campus if CVOR volume is low
- Must be comfortable floating based on skill set
Patient Diagnoses - CABG
- Valve Repairs (AVR, MVR, TVR)
- Aortic Dissections / Roots
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- TAVR
- ECMO
- Impella
- Thoracic procedures
- Laser lead extractions
- Pericardial window
Systems Used - Medication: Pyxis
- Charting: Epic (Required)
- Communication: SBAR
Orientation & Dress Code - Orientation: 24 hours
- Scrubs: Provided (Blue)
Unit & Facility Info - Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Rooms: 3
- Visits Per Day: ~6
- Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
- Support Services: RRT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Transportation, Interpretation Services
- Scheduling Type: Block
- Manager Sets Schedule
Compliance & Onboarding - Candidate must complete lab/testing within 48 hours of signing
- Modules:
- Acute Care: 8–10 hours
- Must be completed before start date and annually
- Format: Online, Zoom, webinars, and in-person
