General job duties
Types of procedures required. Care of patients with preeclampsia, manage a patient on Magnesium, Manage a patient in labor, provide post partum care, care of a baby, be able to deliver a baby if necessary.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Obix central fetal monitoring, Epic using Stork
Required skills and minimum years of experience. 1yr
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. ACLS and NRP
Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) Every other weekend, 12 hour shifts 7p-7a
Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) n/
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 14 beds; 11 nurser
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) Follow AWONN staffing guidelines.
Dress Code: bring in scrubs to wear
