Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Des Moines, IA 50309 (Iowa healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) with pulmonary focus, 23 beds
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, including holiday rotation
• Floating: Required across all hospital campuses
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Experience in pulmonary patient care, including bi-pap and trach care
• Ability to care for COVID+ patients
• First-time travel nurses welcome with at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg and pulmonary patients
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR system
• Float to other units and hospital campuses as needed
• Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
