The Senior Director of Behavior will lead the behavioral care for animals at ARC and CARE, ensuring their health and welfare while managing a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for animals
Ensure high-quality, low-stress patient and population care
Manage a team of nine behavior experts
Collaborate on ARC and CARE research projects
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
Experience working with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Fear Free certification within 6 months of hire
Ability to participate in humane euthanasia decisions and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in developing/overseeing research projects
