Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic, where you'll conduct inspections and repairs on heavy duty diesel equipment in a supportive company culture. Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, perform preventative maintenance, and repair vehicles and equipment
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
On-call assistance for emergency breakdowns
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
18 years of age or older
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience with heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English
Ability to meet physical and safety requirements
Must provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with DPF systems and diagnostic software
Knowledge of DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
