Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Canton, Ohio.
Job Description & Requirements

Job-Specific Duties & Competencies
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessment within 8 hours of admission; create individualized plan of care
- Identify teaching needs and set patient/family education goals
- Provide updates for Initial & Re-evaluation Team Conferences
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in EMR
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned unit
- Initiate discharge planning from admission and provide patient/family teaching
- Communicate patient status changes to physicians, charge nurse, and care team
- Seek consultation for complex cases from senior staff
- Direct, train, and supervise LPNs, CNAs, and orientees; delegate appropriately
- Promote patient and staff safety in all aspects of care
- Contribute to a positive team environment; provide calm leadership during stressful situations
- Maintain communication with leadership regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical training needs
- Provide cost-effective care while monitoring supplies and charges
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
- Actively pursue professional growth through education and self-study
- Prioritize tasks to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
BLS certification – required prior to first shift
ACLS – required for CIRH locations
Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience – highly desired
