- Call Requirements:
- 24-hour in-house OB CRNA coverage needed for the holidays (11/27 & 11/28, 12/24 & 12/25)
- Physician call coverage: 24-hour shifts, weekdays and weekends, including on-call for overnight coverage (with 30-minute response time).
- Call volume: Variable, depending on ER admissions
- Anesthesiologists - 7-5 then call 5pm - 7am. If it's just a day shift it's typically 8 hours sometimes a little longer if it's a bad day. Our call docs can usually handle things after 3
- Call Ratio: Approx 1 day a week
Shift Lengths and Schedule: - Weekdays: 24-hour shifts (day + overnight on call)
- Weekends: 24-hour shifts
- On-call during shifts is flexible, but on-site during the day
- EMR: Sunrise (Altera) for hospital; MEdAxion for Anesthesia
Clinical & OR Details: - Number of ORs/Anesthetizing Locations: Approx. 15, depending on the day
- Types of Procedures: General, Endo, OB, Trauma, CV (covered by cardiac team, not required by anesthesia), and no ENT, Pediatrics, or Neuro at the moment
- Trauma Center: Level III Adult
- Anesthesia Support:
- OR has anesthesia nurses and support techs
- Only one support for the practice
- Types of Cases: All but CV (handled by cardiac team), pediatrics, and neuro
- CRNA Supervision:
- Anesthesiologists will supervise up to 3 CRNAs per shift, depending on procedural locations Candidate Qualifications:
- ACLS Certification
- NBCRNA or ABA Certification (depending on role)
- OB CRNA candidates: Minimum 1 year of OB experience required
- MD/DO candidates: Previous call experience preferred
- Experience Level: Candidates should be comfortable with a variety of cases (except ENT, Pediatrics, Neuro)
- Credentialing:
- Temporary or emergency privileges possible on a case-by-case basis
- Orientation provided on the first day, unless the provider is available earlier
Emergency Privileges/Temporary Privileges: Granted on a case-by-case basis by Parallon and the Medical Staff Office. Interested candidates should be comfortable with a high-volume, dynamic environment, and the potential for a mix of supervision and room coverage.
