Job Description

Join XPO as an Assistant Senior Manager, Service Center, where you will lead and supervise operations to ensure efficient freight management while fostering employee development. This is a key role that directly impacts service quality and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees at the service center
  • Handle payroll issues and personnel changes
  • Lead the service center in the absence of upper management
  • Manage inbound, city, and outbound freight operations
  • Plan daily staffing needs for timely freight delivery
  • Provide information to employees about productivity and policies
  • Analyze and implement cost-cutting and efficiency improvement opportunities
  • Maintain clean and safe working conditions
  • Comply with laws and company policies

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of LTL freight management and/or service center management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the LTL industry, transportation rules and regulations, OSHA standards
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Availability to work various shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of related work or equivalent military experience
  • Experience with process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma
  • Forklift experience
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
