Job Description
Join XPO as an Assistant Senior Manager, Service Center, where you will lead and supervise operations to ensure efficient freight management while fostering employee development. This is a key role that directly impacts service quality and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise employees at the service center
Handle payroll issues and personnel changes
Lead the service center in the absence of upper management
Manage inbound, city, and outbound freight operations
Plan daily staffing needs for timely freight delivery
Provide information to employees about productivity and policies
Analyze and implement cost-cutting and efficiency improvement opportunities
Maintain clean and safe working conditions
Comply with laws and company policies
Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of LTL freight management and/or service center management experience
Thorough knowledge of the LTL industry, transportation rules and regulations, OSHA standards
Experience with Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license
Availability to work various shifts
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5 years of related work or equivalent military experience
Experience with process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma
Forklift experience
Strong interpersonal and management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
