Job Title: Registered Nurse – PICU Location: Phoenix, AZ - 85016 Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Hours/week: 36 hours per week Shift Lengths: 12 hours Job Summary: Experienced PICU RN needed to provide critical care to pediatric patients, with the ability to float to NICU and CVICU. Requires active RN license, BLS, PALS, and 2+ years PICU experience. 12-hour shifts, days or nights, in Phoenix, AZ.
Roles and Responsibilities: - Provide critical care to pediatric patients in PICU
- Monitor and assess patient condition and vitals
- Administer medications and treatments per orders
- Collaborate with the healthcare team on care plans
- Document patient care accurately in EMR
- Respond to emergencies and code situations
- Float to NICU and CVICU as needed
- Educate and support patients and families
Skills:
- Pediatric critical care expertise
- Ventilator and respiratory management
- Medication administration and IV therapy
- Cardiac monitoring and vital sign interpretation
- Emergency response and code management
- Experience with EMR systems
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Critical thinking and decision-making under pressure
Certifications Required:
- Current RN license in the State of Arizona or a compact state with multistate privileges
- AHA - BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Covid Card
- NRP preferred
