Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Assist in design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment
Coordinate with other workers for installations and maintenance
Consult with operators and engineers for equipment layout and problem resolution
Determine equipment feasibility and develop specifications
Work with voltage levels up to 480, 4160; wire Variable Frequency Drives
Study blueprints and manuals for installation procedures
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
Inspect components for assembly accuracy and defects
Advise management on equipment safety
Maintain logs for performance and repairs
Operate equipment for demonstrations and troubleshooting
Repair, install, and adjust equipment and components
Install telecommunications cables
Maintain spare parts inventory
Work extended shifts and adapt to changing priorities
Follow the National Electric Code and Cargill standards
Participate in training for skill improvement
Required Qualifications
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
18 years or older
Able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, and work in confined spaces
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Able to work under extreme heat or cold
Ability to work in elevated areas
Able to operate machinery
Read/write English
High School diploma or Equivalent
Basic computer skills
Ability to work overtime
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts
Able to work in an outdoor and indoor plant environment
Very good time management skills
Install conduit and pull wire
Strong commitment to safety
Adequate transportation
Use multiple tools such as multi-meter, voltmeter, safety equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers
Experience using electrical test equipment for analysis and troubleshooting
Knowledge of the National Electric Code
Mechanical aptitude for blueprints and maintenance manuals
Apprentice, Journeyman or above license in Nebraska or equivalent
A 2-year degree in electromechanical, electrical system, or equivalent
