This role involves collaborating with community partners and housing providers to secure and maintain permanent housing for members, while offering flexible work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Support housing providers to comply with housing regulations and practices
Assess needs of homeless individuals and families
Assist members in the housing application process
Track and obtain housing resources
Maintain housing database and document services
Coordinate housing placements with providers
Implement housing tools for prioritizing placements
Collaborate with agencies for processing housing applications
Develop objectives for obtaining permanent housing
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health care related field or equivalent experience
3+ years experience in servicing adults with serious mental illness (SMI) or in a health care related field
Experience in non-profit housing services
Understanding of Continuum of Care Permanent Supportive Housing and Transitional Housing Programs
Knowledge of fair housing and tenant’s rights
Current state driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
Familiarity with fair housing laws and community programs
Knowledge of SAMHSA evidence-based practices
