Description Provides direct high-level nursing care to critically ill patients. Responsible for monitoring life support equipment, attending to wounds, responding to changing patient conditions and providing advanced life support. Assesses, plans and evaluates patient care needs. Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs. Carries out physician orders and clarifies, educates and instructs patients and families of them as needed. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Qualifications Required Licenses Must have current and valid Wyoming RN License or compact equivalent Required Skills Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association Current ACLS certification through American Heart Association Current PALS or ENPC certification through American Heart Association or required within 90 days of hire or transfer into department Current TNCC or within 1 year of initial hire Work Experience Minimum 2+ years Critical Care experience preferred.ICU nurse, critical care nursing, night shift nursing, life support monitoring, wound care, patient assessment, medication administration, advanced life support, patient education, discharge planning
