Join Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital as a Pharmacist III in Critical Care, where you'll lead medication therapies for critical care patients, enhance clinical programs, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient care. This role is pivotal in advancing pharmacoeconomic initiatives and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe and effective medication therapies for critical care patients
Develop clinical programs and manage formularies
Monitor drug therapies for interactions and appropriateness
Collaborate with medical staff and participate in education and quality improvement
Support pharmacoeconomic and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives
Prepare and present drug reviews and reports to Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee
Required Qualifications
Current CA Pharmacist license
Graduate of college of Pharmacy accredited by ACPE or equivalent - PharmD preferred
Critical Care Pharmacy (BCCCP) or Emergency Medicine Pharmacy (BCEMP) - or equivalent required
Three years related Hospital Clinical Pharmacy experience or Postgraduate Year One Pharmacy Residency
Training and proficiency in age specific therapies for hospital patients (Neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric)
Preferred Qualifications
Active membership in American Society of Health-System Pharmacists or other Pharmacy-related State or National organization
