ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Surgical ICU Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Neptune, New Jersey.
**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Vascular & Post Surgical Stepdown Unit**
**Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (3 x 12 hr shifts, weekends and holidays required as needed)
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiac Vascular & Post Surgical Stepdown Unit. The RN will be responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients' needs and priorities through thorough assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans for assigned patients based on initial and ongoing assessments.
- Execute therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care effectively.
- Document patient care accurately according to standards of care and practice.
- Advocate for evidence-based care standards and support the adoption of innovative practices in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.
- Float to other units within competency as required.
**Required Skills and Experience:**
- Minimum of 2 years of prior RN experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit within a major acute care hospital setting.
- Strong MS/Tele background.
**Preferred Skills and Experience:**
- Experience in ventilator management, post-cardiac surgery, and general post-surgical care.
**Education:**
- Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
**Certifications & Licensure:**
- Required:
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
- BLS (AHA)
- CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours)
- Telemetry training
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
- Preferred: N/A
**Additional Information:**
- Guaranteed Hours: 36.00
- Contract Length: 89 weeks
- Float Requirements: Yes, as needed to similar units.
