Join Global Medical Response as an EMS Clinical Coordinator in Clackamas, Oregon, where you'll lead the Paramedic Clinical/Field Education Program. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of EMS professionals by monitoring student progress, coordinating clinical experiences, and ensuring compliance with educational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates all aspects of the Paramedic Clinical/Field Education Program
Communicates with hospitals and EMS agencies to place students in clinical and/or field rotations
Monitors compliance with requirements of students and manages the clinical contract process
Develops and maintains relationships with clinical site managers and staff
Schedules clinical rotations and confirms schedules in writing
Provides orientation for students and preceptors
Supervises and observes students during clinical rotations
Tracks student patient contacts and evaluates student performance
Conducts performance reviews during internships
Identifies additional experience needs and collaborates on remediation plans
Required Qualifications
Associate degree preferred
Must complete an approved instructor course within one year of hire
Must obtain and maintain AHA ACLS Instructor, PALS, and PHTLS Instructor certifications within one year of hire
Minimum 3 years of progressive field/clinical experience as a Paramedic or Registered Nurse
Certified Paramedic or Licensed Registered Nurse required
Current certification/licensure in the Program state
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory experience preferred
NREMT preferred
