Job Description
Join Optum as a Patient Services Representative where you'll enhance patient care in a supportive environment. This role involves greeting patients, managing registrations, and ensuring financial processes are followed, all while working collaboratively with a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and register patients promptly and courteously
Direct and schedule patients and visitors
Receive payments and issue receipts
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Assist with office operations and maintain a neat work environment
Required Qualifications
1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
Experience working with an electronic health record
Minimal medical terminology knowledge
Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
