Department: ER | Position: RN License/Certs: IL RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNS or TNCC, NIHSS Trauma Level: Non-trauma; STEMI/Stroke ready; Cath lab (limited hours) Beds: 24 (includes 4 behavioral health safe rooms) Volume: 60–80 patients/day | All ages, wide variety of diagnoses Ratios: 1:4–5 (adjusted by acuity/staffing) Support: 24/7 security, RT on-call, ED techs (blood draws, EKG, vitals, wound care), charge RN (days), house supervisor (24/7) Procedures/Skills: Moderate sedation, lumbar puncture, critical care drips, must interpret cardiac monitors Experience: 3+ years ER, flexible with shift rotations; first-time travelers welcome Shifts: 12 hr (7–7, 10–10, 11–11, 12–12, 7p–7a); weekend & holiday rotation Floating: Possible to MS, Tele, ICU (helping hands/full load if experienced) Other: No call; no separate fast track; triage within department; imaging nearby; techs/nurses draw labs Scrubs: Solid professional colors Orientation: 2 x 12-hr shifts
