We are seeking a passionate and hands-on LEAN Leader to accelerate our continuous improvement efforts and lead transformative initiatives across the organization. This role is not about theory, it’s about taking action, engaging people at every level, and unlocking smarter ways to work. The LEAN Leader will be responsible for designing, deploying, and sustaining LEAN tools, systems, and behaviors that directly impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and evolution of the Electro-Methods LEAN Operating System.
- Partner closely with operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify inefficiencies and develop solutions rooted in LEAN thinking.
- Be the face and force of LEAN on the shop floor. Model what good looks like through daily presence and direct engagement.
- Facilitate kaizen events, value stream mapping, standard work development, and problem-solving workshops (A3, 5 Whys, root cause).
- Support high-priority business goals such as throughput, delivery performance, scrap reduction, and labor productivity through LEAN-driven solutions.
- Mentor and coach front-line leaders and team members in daily visual management and LEAN routines.
- Identify and eliminate waste in processes—from setup and inspection to flow and communication.
- Establish meaningful KPIs and tracking systems to measure progress, celebrate wins, and identify gaps.
- Support strategic projects and growth initiatives by applying LEAN principles to new product introductions, capital expansions, and organizational changes.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in a LEAN/CI leadership role, ideally within aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.
- Strong grasp of LEAN tools (e.g., 5S, SMED, kanban, takt time, Heijunka) and how to apply them in real-world settings.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- A bias for action—comfortable leading from the floor, not just the conference room.
- Track record of building trust across functions and creating sustainable change.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; LEAN certification(s) or Six Sigma Black/Green Belt is a plus.
