Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures while collaborating with a multidisciplinary surgical team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the cardiovascular operating room.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and patient safety protocols.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions, procedures, and outcomes accurately.
• Participate in on-call rotation, weekends, holidays, and floating assignments as needed.

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state).
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
