We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager, Event Content to develop and execute content strategies for tier one AWS events, focused on the AWS AMER Summit program. This role will develop content strategies that align with AWS business objectives and resonate with our target audiences. This role will interface with senior leadership and key stakeholders to gain strategic buy-in and ensure cohesive messaging across regions. The ideal candidate excels at synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable strategies, and can effectively communicate these plans to diverse, cross-functional teams. They should be skilled at managing multiple high-priority tasks, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to influence without direct authority in a fast-paced, global environment.Description

We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager, Event Content to develop and execute content strategies for tier one AWS events, focused on the AWS AMER Summit program. This role may sit in one of the following locations only: Arlington, VA, USA | Austin, TX, USA | New York, NY, USA | Portland, OR, USA | San Diego, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA Relocation offered to these locations only from within the USA only.

Key job responsibilities

Content Operations

Develop program content strategy and present to senior leadership and key stakeholders for alignmentDevelop data-driven topic allocation strategy for event agendas and goalsManage content program budgetsContribute to cross-event strategy to drive consistency across flagship eventsDevelop best practices and associated documentation for owned programs and workstreams, including playbooksContinuously refine and enhance content operations to deliver exceptional attendee experienceAnalyze session performance data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and think big about new ideasEngage in continuous learning and stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to content operations

Stakeholder Collaboration

Facilitate regular calls and email check-ins with content team members working on the programManage contingent workers that own speaker, catalog, and tooling workstreamsManage vendor relations pertaining to content workstreams

We are a collaborative group of strategic thinkers, content visionaries, and event experts who work together to develop and deliver engaging, impactful content that resonates with audiences industry-wide and worldwide. We are experts at aligning content initiatives with broader business goals. We lead the content arm of AWS highest tiered event series, manage complex content operations, and ensure exceptional execution from strategy to delivery.

Basic Qualifications

6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experienceExperience using data and metrics to drive improvementsExperience in building, executing and scaling cross functional marketing programsExperience developing and managing event content across a multitude of timezones and languages

Preferred Qualifications

Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
