This role involves troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems while collaborating with teams to optimize operations.
Key Responsibilities
Be the primary responder for complex system issues involving automated material handling
Assist with infrastructure upgrades and modifications to DC assets
Troubleshoot/diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components
Communicate and work with teams to resolve problems
Perform audits and quality checks on equipment
Provide diagnosis analyses on building equipment and material handling systems
Report on material handling system performance
Required Qualifications
Technical degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of building and equipment maintenance experience
Two years maintaining automated material handling systems
Complete technical training in electronic controls, power distribution and PLC troubleshooting
Experience using electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools
Experience with reading and interpreting MEP drawings and schematics
High level of understanding of codes such as NEC, BOCA, UBC, MSDS, OSHA
Technical skills to become subject matter expert for automated systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with thermal imaging equipment to detect early failures
Experienced with AC drives (setup, programming, faults)
Understanding of power distribution, power generation, and control circuits
Troubleshooting changes to I/O device networks
