Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll evaluate and treat patients to improve their speech and language functions while participating in community education and clinical training.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient’s symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Utilizes effective techniques to assist in normalizing speech and language activity
Educates patients and families in home exercise programs
Determines when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Submits charges accurately and consistently
Adheres to the professional code of ethics
Supervises affiliated students
Attends continuing education courses
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows-based programs
