Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Operates MRI equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians
  • Performs MRI procedures accurately and efficiently according to established standards
  • Prepares patients and adjusts equipment for performing MRI
  • Coordinates daily schedules for efficiency and assesses exam completion
  • Assists with staff/student on-the-job training and orientation
  • Maintains records required by the Radiology Department and other regulatory bodies

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school
  • Radiography (R) certification from ARRT upon hire
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification from ARRT upon hire
  • Less than 1 year of experience in radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of training/experience in MRI
