Key Responsibilities
Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act
Determine health status and needs of patients
Utilize a systematic approach to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments
Develop and implement teaching plans for patients/families
Provide education, emotional support, and age-specific care
Evaluate and document patient responses and outcomes to therapeutic interventions
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
Minimum of one-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years
Experience in pediatrics
Current American Heart Association or ARC BLS provider
PALS required within 6 months of hire or transfer
APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider or ONS Provider required within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
Stem Cell experience
CPHON certification preferred within 24 months of hire
