Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll support a dedicated team delivering essential veterinary care to underserved communities. Lead and mentor veterinarians while ensuring high-quality care for pets, promoting animal well-being, and contributing to impactful community service.
Key Responsibilities
Support and train new and experienced veterinarians
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the clinic
Ensure high-quality care with minimal fear and stress for patients
Provide compassionate veterinary care to underserved areas
Participate in administrative tasks and meetings
Foster a positive work culture and support team development
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Excellent work attendance record
Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
