Job Description
Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse II in the Vascular Surgery department, where you'll play a crucial role in patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, and collaborating with the nursing team. Your expertise will help create a compassionate environment for patients facing complex vascular issues.
Key Responsibilities
Implements physician orders and administers medications
Starts IVs and performs treatments, procedures, and special tests
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Directs and guides ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree)
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving tools
