Job Description
Join CalPortland as a Senior Ready Mix Sales Representative, where you'll lead sales efforts in an assigned territory, provide exceptional customer service, and analyze market trends to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute detailed annual business/sales plans for the assigned territory
Deliver effective and timely proposal presentations and RFP responses
Understand pricing models and proposals
Source and develop customer referrals and relationships
Maintain a reputation for sound business acumen
Track economic trends impacting the local ready-mix market
Compile competitive and industry information
Provide required mix design submittals
Maintain open communication regarding customer requirements
Assist in implementing marketing plans
Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities
Provide timely reports on activities and expenses
Adhere to company policies and ethics codes
Share expertise with other sales team members
Attend industry-related events
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, preferably in the construction materials industry
Ability to discuss industry, market, and product knowledge
Strong formal presentation skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to influence and drive decision-making
Strong analytical skills
Team-player both internally and externally
Mid-level skill with Microsoft Office Software
Clean driving record for the last five years
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Public Entities (state, county, city governments)
Background in construction and/or manufacturing of construction products
Familiar with CRM and customer contact databases
Familiarity with ERP-SAP
