Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in the classroom environment. The paraprofessional will assist in delivering instructional activities, providing individualized support to students, and ensuring a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. Responsibilities include helping with classroom management, reinforcing lessons, assisting students with assignments, and working closely with teachers to meet the educational needs of students.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with preparing instructional materials and activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with special needs or academic challenges
  • Supervise students during classroom activities and ensure a safe learning environment
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and provide feedback
  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or college coursework preferred)
  • AZ IVP Fingerprint clearance Card
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Work Environment/Physical Demands  

  • Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and/or fumes 
  • Frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting up to 50 points.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
