Job Description
Join Lincoln Electric's Plant Engineering team as an Electrical Engineering Technologist, where you'll design and support industrial electrical systems for manufacturing welding machines. This role is vital for ensuring equipment safety, reliability, and compliance with corporate objectives, contributing to the company's mission of helping build a better world.
Key Responsibilities
Modify solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety
Provide technical support to Production, Maintenance, and IT departments
Maintain, modify and update PLC, VFD, and HMI programs
Update and support National Instruments LabVIEW code
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and other teams
Apply NEC knowledge for planning industrial equipment installations
Supply project leaders with capital cost estimates and timelines
Lead projects or project steps and solve complex problems
Manage outside engineering and construction personnel
Integrate equipment into data collection systems
Support network backup and device patching management
Compile data from connected devices and develop standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology
3+ years of professional experience
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical CAD software
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and test equipment
Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 79
Knowledge of basic networking concepts and SQL Database
