Key Responsibilities
Provides educational leadership to direct care providers
Assesses the quality of care for specific patient populations
Coordinates and implements orientation of nursing staff
Collaborates with medical providers and nursing staff to develop educational curricula
Plans and implements annual competencies
Monitors trends and implements educational strategies
Participates in teaching and coaching of staff nurses and healthcare professionals
Acts as an expert resource for nursing staff
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or multistate RN license
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
At least five years of progressive experience in clinical practice, nursing education, or nursing management in an acute care setting
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing
Basic certification in the area of specialty
