• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7a-7p), every other weekend, rotating holidays
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,990 - $2,130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required
• IV therapy experience and phlebotomy skills
• Completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia exam

RN Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
• Demonstrate leadership and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Follow hospital and department standards for clinical practice
• Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care
• Safely administer medications and manage IV therapy
• Document patient care accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond to emergencies
• Care for post-operative and orthopedic patients
• Manage chest drainage devices and epidural analgesia
• Identify and report neglect or abuse as required by Massachusetts law
• Provide care respecting advance directives and age-specific needs
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned
