Medasource is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lima, Ohio.

Position: RN – MS/Tele Ortho
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (PM)
Contract Type: Travel - 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele Ortho experience
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (Required)
Unit Details:
- Unit Size: 28 beds
- Patient Population:- Primarily orthopedic (backs, necks, knees, hips)
- Some trauma with orthopedic injuries
- Occasional medical patients (e.g., UTI, appendicitis, generalized weakness)
- Bariatric surgery patients (Day of surgery and POD #1)
- Common Equipment & Devices:- Drips: Heparin (only), occasional PCA (Morphine, Dilaudid)
- Lines/Drains: Hemovac, True-close, JP drains
- Oxygen Support: Nasal cannula, BiPAP (non-continuous), non-rebreather, Venturi mask
- No vents or trachs
- Technology: Alaris pumps, Hercules beds
- Preferred Skills:- Strong communication with patients and staff
- Familiarity with surgical drains and post-op mobility (backs, hips, knees)
Team & Support:
- Unit Clerk: Weekdays 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Charge RN: Takes patient assignment
- Clinical Shift Supervisor: On-site 4 nights/week (6:00 PM – 3:30 AM, Mon–Thurs or Tues–Fri)
