Job Description

Join Parkland Health and Hospital System as a Certified Pathologists' Assistant, where you'll perform complex tissue dissection and oversee laboratory operations to ensure high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities

Perform complex surgical tissue dissection and oversee Gross Dissection Laboratory operations
Ensure accurate and timely dictation of pathology gross descriptions
Maintain a safe environment and adhere to infection control procedures
Train and supervise assigned staff
Assist with the orientation of residents to specimen handling and grossing

Required Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in laboratory science or related field
Completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists' Assistant program
Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant by ASCP (or obtain within 6 months)

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of experience as a Pathologists' Assistant under a board certified anatomic pathologist
