The position can be located in either Clearwater, FL or Louisville, KY . *Louisville, KY preferred About This Role: We are looking for a dynamic Senior Accountant who will be responsible for managing the overall accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement analysis, intercompany reconciliations, reporting, and special projects. What You’ll Be Doing: # Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts (bank, fixed assets, intercompany, prepaids, various accruals, etc.) # Intercompany coordination and reconciliations # Supporting the month-end and year-end close process # Analyzing and investigating general ledger activity to validate accuracy and completeness of financial reporting # Proposing and recording journal entries # Assisting the controller in preparing financial statements and analysis # Assisting with audits and acting as a key contact for auditors (internal and external) # Developing procedures to improve efficiency # Ensuring compliance with all internal processes # Assisting tax providers/preparers with sales tax data # Supporting the controller with the annual budget # Communicating with freight carriers and customs # Maintaining effective communication and relationships with all employees and external stakeholders # Applying a strong understanding of GAAP accounting guidelines, internal controls, and best practices # Exercising superior analytical and problem-solving skills # Communicating effectively and paying attention to detail # Working independently and meeting deadlines # Being a team player Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting CPA or MBA preferred Minimum of four years of accounting experience Minimum of four years of ERP experience (IFS preferred but not required) Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office What We Offer (subject to eligibility requirements): ~ Health, Vision & Dental Insurance – generous employee cost share & low deductibles ~ PTO, paid holidays ~401k with company match ~ Full tuition reimbursement ~ Engaging culture; celebrating wins and milestones ~ Work-life balance (hybrid work schedules for eligible roles) Seniority level ~ Mid-Senior level Employment type ~ Full-time Job function ~ Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries ~ Machinery Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Hercules Sealing Products by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Senior Accountant” roles.
