Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, NC

Position Description

This is a 13-week contract position for an Operating Room role within Frye Regional Medical Center. The facility boasts 355 beds and includes various specialized centers: Frye Regional Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and Level 3 NICU. Additionally, Frye South Campus consists of an 81-bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital.

Unit Information

• Department: Operating Room
• Number of Beds: 13
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: Robotics (Davinci), Mako, Holmium Laser, Hana table
• EHR: Cerner
• Patient Population: Adults, minimal pediatric (only outpatient)

Position Details

• Shifts: Four 10-hour shifts, 06:45 AM - 05:15 PM
• Weekend Call Requirements: 7 days per month, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Number of Openings: 4-5

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: Current RN licensure (ADN or BSN)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience is required. Preferred experience in Orthopedics or Neurology.
• Personality Fit: Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Dress Code

Scrubs are provided by the facility through a scrub machine. Outside attire not laundered by the hospital is deemed unacceptable.
